I am a half French, half Lithuanian, dude that was born in L.A.
I have lived most of my life in the city of angels, and have a
love/hate relationship with it. Mostly love, except for all the posers,
complainers, haters, liars, traffic, pollution, crowds,(especially in the surf),
wannabee actors & actresses from the midwest and the ever popular,
"I am more important than you" attitude.
Anyways, I got that out of the way.
Ever since I was a little grommet I loved music, surfing and traveling.
My grandmother was an opera singer and my parents used to put on her records to make me stop crying. Thus my fascination with vinyl.
The first record I ever bought was a 45 of "I Wanna Rock With You" (Michael Jackson)
My teen years I went to high school in a suburb of Washington D.C., where I was immerced
in the Punk Rock scene of Downtown. I would steal my mom’s car when I was like 13 and
drive downtown with my brother’s fake I.D. and go see bands like: Minor Threat, Steel Pulse, Goverment Issue, Bad Brains, Jane’s Addiction, Shine-head, Parliament, De La Soul etc. and than sneak the car home, sneak upstairs and go to school the next day. Although this was fun, I hated the East Coast cuz there was no waves, no beach, no surf and tons of kooks! Although, I skipped many days of school to make the three and a half hour car ride
to Ocean City, Maryland, for some hurricane swells and to skate to the local swimming pools. (The city would drain them for the winter.)
Needless to say, I moved back to Cali, went to S.M.C. than U.C.L.A. and than got signed
to Moonshine Records, playing lead guitar with a band called, "Zen Cowboys"
We did a couple videos, toured with: De La Soul, Oasis, Modern English, Black Grape, etc.
Than broke up! I started another band called "Joy Jelly", played the L.A. circuit, got on the radio, than D.J.’ing started taking a front seat. I got tired of trying to do the "rock band thing" Now I produce, remix and D.J. all over town in practically every club in L.A.,
New York, Vegas and all over the U.S. My influences are anything good: Bob Marley,Biggie,Pennywise,Jimi Hendrix, Chilli Peppers, NWA, Frank Sinatra,The Sex Pistols, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Z-Trip, Mix Master Mike, Cut Chemist, D.J. A.M., Mark Ronson, The Smiths, De La Soul, Oasis, Radiohead, Suicidal Tendencies, Sister Nancy,Barrington Levy, Stevie Wonder, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, The Cult, The Clash, Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, Bill Withers, Mike Jones, 3 6 Mafia, Tupac, Run DMC, Agent Orange, Curtis Mayfield, Shabba Ranks, Shine-Head, and the list goes on and on and on etc.
I D.J. at loads of extreme sports events, concerts, clubs, corporate events, special events,races, store openings, fashion shows, production company parties, film company parties, etc.
I love to mash-up anything that is not suppossed to be put together and make it Cool.
Rocking a dance-floor is one of my favorite past times as well as getting barrelled or spending some quality time with a girlfriend.
