About
Welcome to my Official DAVID CASSIDY MySpace page. Yes, this is really me. After so many fan sites popped up here, I decided that it's time I jump into it myself so that my fans have a place to talk. I try to visit as often as I can, and I'd like to thank my design team, Sabre Design, for all their work in keeping you updated with what's going on in my life and for helping me out with all this computer stuff.
Now a little bit about me. As most of you know, I starred in "The Partridge Family." This launched my career in the entertainment industry and I have gone on to become one of the most famous celebrity icons in history. I come from a family of actors—my mother, Evelyn Ward, and my father, Jack Cassidy.
I have had a 1 selling single of the year, received several Grammy nominations and I also won a Golden Apple Award. On top of that, my official fan club has grown to become the largest in history, exceeding both Elvis Presley and the Beatles—with much thanks to you—my loyal fans.
As in integral part of "The Partridge Family," I recorded 7 chart topping singles including "Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted," "I Woke Up In Love This Morning," "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" and of course, "I Think I Love You", the best selling record of 1971.
As a solo artist, I've had 5 hit singles "Cherish," "Could It Be Forever," "How Can I Be Sure," "Rock Me Baby" and "Lying to Myself."
In 1996, my path took me to the MGM Grand where I starred in the $75 million extravaganza "EFX." I also took over creative direction and re-vamped entire the show making it the most successful production in Las Vegas.
In 1999 I partnered with my friend, writer and producer, Don Reo. We created the critically acclaimed hit "The Rat Pack Is Back!" The show played to sold out crowds at both the Desert Inn and the Sahara Hotel & Casino. It continues to show at various venues.
In 2000 at The Rio Hotel, I co-created with Don Reo, and wrote, produced and starred in "At the Copa." We incorporated a Broadway musical feel into the show resulting in a non-stop, high-energy production. I wrote and performed with the largest big-band orchestra in Las Vegas. In 2001, I decided to close the show to return to performing in concert venues.
