>Dispatch - Biography >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dispatch grew up on Market Estate, North London, listening to various pirate radio stations (IceFm, FreekFm, Raw Mission, RinseFm, ItchFm, ShineFm an Y2K among others) since a young age and it was this that first sparked his interest in the uks underground music scene. He began djing at 16 when he bought his first set of decks with about 50 classic uk garage bangers. Djing was big on the estate and Dispatch would mix almost every day out of his bedroom window. As a regular customer of Planet Phat in Caledonian Road (now closed down) and Uptown Records in Londons West End, he met various artists that were putting out white labels (Wiley, Maxwell D, Tubby, Oxide, Heartless Crew, Slimzee, Youngstar, Sticky) and decided he would try to make some good new beats and remixes. It was diffucult at first as he had no prior music tech knowledge, but he got a free sequencing program and started learning to make beats.
