BIOG 2011
The Pali Gap are an English post-punk band formed in London 2006. The group has existed in some form ever since, and is essentially built around its founder and only constant member Sanj Pali. The group's music has gone through several stylistic changes over the last couple of years however The Pali Gap's music is often characterised by repetition, a guitar-driven sound, and is always underpinned by Sanj Pali's vocals and often cryptic lyrics.
Previous members have now gone on to form other bands whilst Sanj continues writing new songs and goes about formulating a new band line for 2011!
BIOG 2007
The Pali Gap is a punk/rock/ska band originally formed by singer/songwriter Sanj Pali and guitarist/producer Jorge Galavis. New to the fold is long time friend and musician Adam Bentley, playing those edgy basslines and also long time friend and one of Japan's well sought after drummers, Mr Shirou Okuni. The name of the band originates in Hawaii, where Jimi Hendrix wrote an instrumental tune called "Pali Gap" inspired by a mountain range that carries the same name. It also happens to be Sanj's surname!

Described as a "sinister, funky, spikey punk pop" band, The Pali Gap have so far been shortlisted on Radio 1's Lock-Up:'Battle of the Bands' with Mike Davies , graced the airways of XFM's Sarah Darling Show and performed at last year's London City Showcase supporting the Rishi Rich Project. The Pali Gap have also recently won and been nominated for a number of songwriting competitions (BBC Asian Network/British Academy of Composers & Songwriters) and have been invited to feature on several magazine and newspaper publications. They also continue to be supported by indie radio stations such as Just Oxfordshire Radio and Club Asia Radio.
Red Stripe Beer & Tunetribe are currently using their song 'Freak' for their 2007 Promotion (click on the link above for more info and you could win a guitar!)
