The Octopus Project "Whitby" official video - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 07, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
The "Whitby" official music video is a product of the The Octopus Project's collective consciousness. Created, shot and directed by the band, the stop-motion extravaganza was crafted entirely using die-cut colored card stock. Band members meticulously designed each shape in Photoshop then used a cutting machine generally reserved for scrapbooking to cut them out before photographing them in real world settings. The final video consists of over 4,000 separate images.

"Whitby" is the first single from The Octopus Project's fifth full-length, "Fever Forms," planned for release on July 9, 2013, by Peek-A-Boo Records. The "Whitby" digital single features an additional remix and will is available now from iTunes, eMusic and the usual digital channels. An extended download which includes additional bonus tracks unavailable elsewhere (B-sides! karaoke version!) is available exclusively from the Peek-A-Boo Records website (http://www.peekaboorecords.com/album.aspx?id=129).

"Whitby" is the first official release since 2010's highly-praised "Hexadecagon" double-LP, which earned the band the title "The Rolling Stones of bleep-bloop" by The Onion.
