"These guys are the NEXT wave!"-Edgar P. Stevenson, PHD Music
"The Novarays show was badass and it actually evoked memories of some of the earlier rockabilly and garage shows I attended in Atlanta and Savannah that were dominated by guys who had pure punk rock backgrounds that had picked up on all this cool stuff and started their own bands. About 90% of those guys told me when I asked that they'd all been in punk bands to start with before getting into rockabilly/garage/surf. It was how I discovered modern surf after sitting on just a few first wave comps and LP's for years. Lewis and co. have all that punk energy and a really edgy but still somewhat trad tone (maybe because of their Deluxes.those things sounded HOT but still good, clean, and reverberated.I didn't see a tank either)."- Richard of The Surge
"Louis is a former guitarist for party band deluxe, The Woggles and you can just feel his excitement and VERY entergetic presentation. All the Novarays are great players and they sounded really big. Both guitarists played vintage Deluxe Reverbs with Louis on an AVRI Jazzmaster and the rhythm guitarist playing a Master Built Custom Strat. They had a great complimentary sound that blended well with the bass player's Fender Precision Bass. The drummer was kicking butt and the whole band had a very powerfull soundThe set was a great mix of cool covers and neat originals that ran for over an hour. They even did a completely reworked cover of an Electric Light Orchestra number. The Novarays are a real asset to the surf music scene. Great band, great evening, cool little bar (owned by a pair of twin, former Weeki Watchi Springs mermaids)."-Eddie Catcher, Reverb King
"Lewis and I played together for a while before he moved to Orlando. Not only was he in The Woggles (He plays bass on the "Return to Blood Beach" 3 song 7" which finally made it's US debut on the "Soul Sizzling 7" Meltdown" cd last year), but he was one of the founding members of The Intoxicators!. was a member of Stingray International (which opened for Dick Dale in Tallahassee, FL). had a song (as a solo performer) on the Japanese release Takuroku Surf Party (which also features solo recordings from Yuzo Kayama, Sammy from the Royal Fingers, Jun from Mama Guitar, and many more). and performed on Spinout Records compilation "Rock Don't Run: Volume One" as a member of The Surf Kings (from Laguna Beach (AKA Panama City), Florida.)"-Goob Crum, The Intoxicators!
