I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6!

The Nightstalkers hail from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The mayhem began south of the city on a sod farm in July 2002. The lack of good old, raunchy Rock n’ Roll in Calgary during 2002 inspired the Nightstalkers to create a band that captures the frantic, evil Psychobilly tainted noise that the city of Calgary had long missed.

Over the next few years, word spread of the Nightstalkers sound about as quickly as the band went through members (Ryan Fox and Kris Leasak are the only original members surviving in the trio). Eventually the band would settle in with Dallas Anderson as the upright bassist, throwing some low end slappin’ to the sound. The Nightstalkers have a unique blend of influences ranging from 40’s country, 50’s Rock n’ Roll, all the way up to garage-punk rock. This combination of music and a love of Halloween makes for a very high energy, entertaining rock n’ roll show.

The Stalkers went in for their first studio session on Mother’s day 2003, at Sundae Sound studios in Calgary. The end result was four originals cut and mixed in 8 hours on analogue equipment. These four originals would comprise their first independently released, s/t 7”. Almost three grueling years after this the band was picked up by a newer American label-Kaiser Records. Kaiser would release the first full-length album “Toxic Cesspool” in 2006. Several short tours would follow both releases where the Nightstalkers shared the stage with the likes of: Tiger Army, Black Halos, Deadcats, Memphis Morticians, Farrell Brothers, Bloodshot Bill, Mad Marge and the Stonecutters and many other great up and coming acts.
