   About The Nightlife

From the depths of the electric city that once lit up the world, hidden away in the suburbs of Albany, NY is a band of 6 dudes close enough to be brothers. Their music is a melodic hardcore, riff rock mixture of heavy hooks and infectious melodies. For the past 7 years, like most bands, The Nightlife has been changing and exchanging members at a steady rate. With a solidified line-up and a new unique sound The Nightlife is poised for the next step. Warped Tour, Bamboozle, and opening for Motley Crue are a few of the many playgrounds TNL has romped on.

“We take extreme pride, and care in providing a live show that is entertaining and true to our record,” proclaims guitarist Ryan Swett. “Being on stage is what we love, even if it ends in puddles of blood, aching bodies, or lasting brain damage down the road. In the here and now we're getting as low as we possibly can.” The term “head banging” doesn't quite put their rock into perspective.

When away from the practice space guitarists Benjamin Jennings, Jon Secore and Ryan Swett, bassist Brandin Bartholf, drummer Scott Francisco and Vocalist Noah Lee are listening to quite the diverse array of music. Anything from Whitechapel to R. Kelly graces the speakers of their radios and hearts and it comes across on their latest release “Silicone Sentries and Digital Dogs.” Sometimes poppy, leaning metal, kind of southern is the best way to describe this sextet's tunes. If one thing is for certain, with a 3 guitar attack, eloquent catchy choruses and guttural growls, each and every one of their songs is full of energy.

If The Nightlife's new track “Jesse Has a B.O. Fetish,” (which can be seen/heard on YouTube) is any indication of the guys future, it is very bright. TNL is playing music they love and are forging ahead into their ever growing future. If you have not heard of them yet it is time to open your eyes and ears.
