behind the hard rock band My Ruin.
Welcome to their dirty little secret.



Drenched in the ambiance of an apartment
and surrounded by the truth of the city
together they have created vintage quality recordings
which are both passionate as well as provocative.
Inspired by true-life events, human nature,
classic literature, poetry and past to present day relationships,
this spoken word side project was born of organic content,
a mutual respect and a romantic fascination with
Love, Violence, Religion, Sex and Death.



When she's not screaming, Tairrie B is the voice and the words of The LVRS.
It's her ability to bravely go where many fear to tread lyrically that allows her to be so naked on these recordings while showing a side of her that has rarely been seen until now. Death becomes her as she strips down to the bare essentials vocally and assumes the identities of the women she has used as her inspiration by becoming them within her words and letting them become her yet never allowing the listener to forget that she is still who she is.



She is the narrator and the hater, lover and the fighter, victim and the survivor. She is also the killer, when and if she needs to be. There is nothing left to the imagination as she asks you to answer her questions. You are there with her and what you hear is what happened. Dripping with dramatic intent she uses her words to cultivate her own wicked garden of earthly nightmares intoxicating the ears with confessions of adult fantasies and childhood memories brought back to life by way of poetry.



Mick Murphy is the man behind the woman. Resurrecting her voice by creating a musical yet cinematic atmosphere that is both beautiful as it is brutal, he surrounds her sermons in soundscapes using subtle effects under selected spoken pieces while leaving only the harsh reality of her voice in others.



The LVRS recordings are pleasantly uncomfortable and deliciously macabre. uneasy listening. Imagine if you will, getting a letter filled with someones most inner secrets, exposing themselves to you and only you. This is the feeling that these records convey. Find your safe place. The place where you feel the most at home and put on your headphones, turn down the lights and just listen.
