The Kurd.Y-lyricist, born in Vienna , a kurd from North Iraq (Kurdistan) started making music about 96 and first appeared 97/98 in radio sessions and by guest appearances on freestyle tapes. 2002/03, the Word Force, a fusion of three Mcs-Word Magus aka Foxxxy , Juda and Kurd.Y- recorded a limited edition album on CD, distributed nation wide with Vienna as the base. He joined the “Ciphersomatic Interaction” from the Selected Headz fam, a jazz/funk/soul/electro/rap fusion and same time started working with the eastern section “Broken Beat Orchestra” an electronic/oriental/breakbeat/junglistic live movement formed by Manucher -artery01 recordings. Mid 2003,he moved to Kurdistan for 8 months,returned and continued his music. He started joining spoken word poetry sessions and began connecting with a brighter spectrum of producers and musicians. 2005, Kurd.Y moved back to Kurdistan for three years, travelling to Vienna time by time, collecting experience in the eastern art of music and word, recording in “Zirak Studios” in Erbil/North Iraq. Same period the V.O.Z (Versager ohne Zukunft-losers without future) was formed and Kurd.Y became a member of the infamous VOZ fam (www.voz.at). About 2008,he joined the Wake Up fam for one more familiy of producers, singers, Mcs and djs in vienna. On going with Wolfgang Schiftner's Kelomatrix,an incredibly raw urban romance of Jazz/Rap/Soul in fusion.In December 08,Kurd.Y released a 12" single along side the producers Chris Chronic and Lesh. Through all the years several features had been recorded for many djs, artists and producers in all kinds of Bassment music genres. Stage performances/ jam sessions took place in almost all underground clubs in Austria. Numerous tracks recorded in different studios and cities.
