Killer Green

In a world full of cookie-cutter bands trying to cash in on the latest passing fad, its nice to hear a band that holds its roots in modesty and a desire to make the best music possible. Forming in the later months of 2007, Killer Green have progressed an incredible amount in a frighteningly short amount of time. From it’s humble beginnings starting as a two piece outfit consisting of drummer Cobey Adams and lead guitarist Riley Bell, the two sought out Sam Morton to bring the low end and Jake Robertson to finish the lineup as their singer and rhythm guitar player. The quartet quickly assembled a hefty amount of songs in preparation for their first ever show, which was but a few weeks away. The process was going smoothly until they realized a huge hurdle they had to overcome: they had yet to finalize a name. The group contemplated many different names before finally settling on Killer Green. After the group played their highly successful first show, they went into the studio to record their song ‘Until We’re There’ which was widely received on the internet as well as through their community. The group then went onto record three more songs, in between playing numerous shows of course, with Justin Zoltek of The Knockouts, which were received equally as well as the preceding recording. In the summer of 2008 the Green machine entered widely acclaimed Hive Studios in Hamilton to cut their first self-titled full-length. After countless hours of writing, tracking, editing, mixing and mastering to perfection, Killer Green have emerged with a product that will leave you speechless. With its heartfelt lyrics, soaring vocals, infectious grooves and of course, some gnarly guitar solos, Killer Green have emerged with an album that delivers one message and one message only: Killer Green is here to stay.
