The Holy Curse - Johnny's day - Live - Machine à Coudre 24-05-2011 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 10, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
THE HOLY CURSE opted for the tight quartet formula, pushing Hi-Energy to the max : a raw, driving, heavy sound. Some songs seem written on acid (at times) and some seem written on speed (more than often), leaving space enough for live impros far more reminiscent of Southern Preachers rants than the old chorus/verse tricks. THE HOLY CURSE made their way to Australia in 2005, to promote their double album, « Wear your Fricken Seatbelt », a compilation released through renowned Oz label Off The Hip. After Australia, their first major tour out of Europe, The Holy Curse have toured the US (Their fourth studio album was recorded partly in Sydney and partly in Detroit), Japan, and they've been playing regularly in France and Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, etc.) sharing the stage with, among others, The Saints, Radio Birdman, The New Christs, The Bellrays, The Flaming Sideburns, Slaughter and the Dogs, Hydromatics, The Fleshtones, Cowboys from Outerspace, Neurotic Swingers, The Hatepinks, Jerry Spider Gang etc... Before take it as it Comes, out may 2011, their fourth album Feed the Dogs was released in 2008 through Turborock Records and distributed in the US through Lumberjack/Mordam.
