Conceptually ETHEREAL DISTORTION, a powerful hard grooving hybrid of post modern rock, trance, breakbeat, experimental improvisation and strong song writing, was formed by two distinctly creative musicians. Mitch Stein and Rodney Holmes originally formed ETHEREAL DISTORTION in 1992 under the name The Hermanators. Their constantly evolving and forward moving sound is almost impossible to describe. ETHEREAL DISTORTION must be heard, seen and ultimately experienced.
MITCH STEIN is one of NYC's most in-demand guitarists. He has toured and recorded with a wide variety of artists encompassing many different styles of music. The Brecker Brothers, David Sanborn, Tania Maria, Cyndi Lauper, Bill Evans, Regina Belle, Mino Cinelu, Steve Kimock, Don Alias, Adam Holzman, Steve Gadd and Jim Weider's ProjECT PERCoLAToR are just a few examples. As a composer/producer, his work is represented on The Hermanators CD "Twisted" and Adam Holzman's CDs "Manifesto", "The Big Picture" and "JazzRocketScience" as well as Jim Weider's new CD "Pulse"
RODNEY HOLMES is one of today's most talked about and respected drummers. His talents as a composer and producer are showcased on his highly anticipated solo debut album "TWELVE MONTHS OF OCTOBER." Rodney has worked and recorded with some of the most respected musicians in both rock, and jazz worlds.
