In August of 2004 a group of kids from the small town of Corpus Christi in Texas came together to form a fast melodic hardcore band for fun. That band grew and became what we know today as the Golden Age.

The Golden Age sites bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Stretch Armstrong and Strike Anywhere as their major influences musically, while lyrically delving into social, political and personal topics that anyone can relate to. "We try to be the voice that tells people that they are not alone, to be strong and to get back up"

2007 saw the release of the Golden Age's debut full length "Carry The Torch" on Words Of War Records. "Carry The Torch" was an incredible release that gained a solid and loyal following for a band that was only interested in having fun. It's 2009 and the Golden Age have joined up with Panic Records for the release of a new 7" ep due out March 2009 entitled "Time And Distance". Following shortly after with their 2nd full length also to be released by Panic Records. The new songs are more focused, solid and energetic and will definitely build on what the Golden Age has already established.

After sharing the stage with many of their friends and favorite bands, the Golden Age are gearing up for some extensive touring in support of their newest releases. With plans and the goal in mind ".to do everything in our power to keep hardcore alive, to make sincere, passionate music. We want to make the kid who's walking into his or her first show smile and say, "I want to do that". That way this music that we love and have given our hearts to, can continue to be a refuge for kids that feel they don't fit in anywhere else"
