.The Germ (Jeremy Sacher) was introduced into the EDM scene in 1997 attending a party at the Asbury Park Convention Center in New Jersey called “Epic”. It featured artists such as Commander Tom, Nostrum, Chris Liberator, DJ Misjah, Jon the Dentist, and many others that would shape The Germ’s taste and style toward electronic dance music. For the next four years Jeremy would amass one of the greatest acid/trance/techno record collections in the world. Ranging from the Chicago based Phuture act to wonky squat bandits Spiral Tribe. The local scene was ripe with talent such as DJ Dread, Gonzo, Lenny Dee, DJ Magic, The Dever, DJ Integrity, DJ John Dough and many more.
In 2000 The Germ attended a local gathering at a bowling alley in Long Island where he witnessed a small man unleashing great fury on the turntables. This was DJ was Myth I-S and his amazing track selection had Jeremy longing for more aggressive acid/trance. In July 2002 Gary called Jeremy and asked him to come down to his job for an interview. Gary worked at Nemesis Music, one of the largest vinyl/cd record distributors in the United States. Jeremy’s unmatched knowledge for every genre earned him a position in the sale team. Working with great music people and meeting countless people in the industry. Dealing directly with distributors and labels opened the door for DPIM Recordings, which was formed by Myth I-S around 2005.
The next few years were packed with hundred of DJ gigs from Mexico, Canada, Los Angles, and Texas… and many vinyl releases on record labels such as, Intellihance Records, Giant & Dwarf Records, Omniscient Records, Getafix Records Drumasheenz, and DPIM Recordings. The studio was growing as well acquiring the taste for all sorts of gear like SH-101, MC-202,TR-909, TB 303, Nord Lead’s, and countless other synthesizers and drum machines.
When the MySpace boom hit all artist flocked to promote their music and network with promoters. Jeremy received a message from a Joey Jupiter from Atomic Babies asking him about some tracks for his new label called Drumasheenz. Jeremy knew of Atomic Babies, but never really had an opportunity to really work with them. Joey and Jeremy meet up worked on the label and have revived Atomic Babies to be one of the most sought after LIVE PA’s in the world. Headlining festivals such as World Electronic Music Festival, Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and many more shows throughout the world. In 2008 both Joey and Jeremy received news that they would be having real atomic babies that autumn. The new additions to the family have put Atomic Babies in a holding pattern, only beckoning for resurgence.
In the mean time Jeremy has a new album about to release on Pathogen Recordings which will feature some of the hardest acid techno/trance the scene has produced in at least a decade.
