Nowadays, there are many girl groups that are pursuing their music, desperately trying to captivate the music industry. Most of whom follow the quintessential pattern for an ideal girl group, but then there is The Georgia Gurlz. A fresh unique blend of talented female hip-hop artists, devoted to breaking any barrier and pushing every envelope that the music industry has to offer. The group consists of 4 members; Miss Holliwood, Jolly Mac, Phat Gul the Massacre and Big Manda. Hailing from the souths musical Mecca, Atlanta, GA, the group previously burst onto the music scene with their hit single GA Gurl. The single ( GA Gurl ) struck attention with fans and created them an underground following unparalleled by other girl groups. It also attracted the attention of A&R Chris Morris of Atlantic Records, Big Oomp Records, and Producer Nitti, all of which offered deals to the phenomenal foursome. But after they achieved regional success with the record, the group geared their attention to the underground circuit and released an array of underground singles that resonated with their fans. Songs like ( Boss Bitch, Extra and Good Sh*t ) generated a buzz similar to that of a newly signed major artist and has managed to keep their fans anticipating their next release. Now back with their new single rightfully entitled, ( Im Dat B*tch ) and their new album, ( Girl Groups Are Dead ), they hope to captivate their fans once again with their superior female song concepts, speaker busting beats and hard hitting lyrics.
