About the band? Yeah we started about a year and a half ago. It was apparent when the first three band members (Casey, Phillip, and Wayne) got together that we could survive in the dog eat dog world of music. With Phillip on the keys, Wayne on the drums, and Casey (me) on the guitar/lead vocals we were nailing almost any song we wanted but something was missing. We goofed off trying to get some cover songs laid down like we wanted but realized we needed to take the band farther. A few weeks later we got two guitarists (Louis and Weasel) and a few weeks after that yet another (David). Louis picked up the appropriate rhythm parts like a champ. But what would we do with this many guitarists? Having weighed out the options Weasel switched to bass and played with us until recent. As the band grew so did our need for strong vocals. With Phillip pulling strong harmony along with David we were set. We even had an immaculate version of Seven Bridges Road nailed to the floor. Our first major show was at the Cool Fish Restaurant and Bar Battle of the Bands. We took first place giving the band the confidence we needed to strive forward. Looking to the future we were able to book up at the NC Seafood Festival (which happens to be an excellent venue for any upcoming artists). The band was on a roll. However, as time passed and Davids ambition for an even better career came through, he was forced to leave the band to move away. With the empty space left unfilled of Davids guitar and vocals we were forced to seek out replacements. Rodney was added recently for his guitar ability along with Gerald for his vocals to fill in where David left off. We are working harder than ever now; sacrificing weekends for practice and working on original music.
Unfortunately in a sad and untimely event Gregory (Weasel) decided to leave the band for personal reasons and is no longer with us. He will be missed for sure. Fortunately being a prior 7 piece band we were able to cope with the loss of a bass player by switching Rodney from guitar to bass making us now a 6 piece band ready to rock your socks off.
What do we play? Oh yeah I forgot to mention that. Well we play a lot of different genre's of music but mostly all of it has a southern rock feel to it. We enjoy putting our own small spin on some of our covers and that is mainly what keeps the band motivated throughout the gigs. With Casey's licks, Wayne and Louis's timing, Rod's bass bonanza, Phillip hugging those keys, and a sprinkle of sweet vocals from Casey, Phillip, and Gerald we can't miss. The band will keep pushing forward. A special thanks to Will for keeping up with our production as well as keeping this page up to par in the time of our slackness.
