"Barbary Ghost Revenge" music video

a snippit of "Dreamtime Creeps", live at Dolores Park.

The Floating Corpses, live, summer 2008, doing their song "Euphorbia Neglecta"

We are "The Floating Corpses".dead wave no skool sewer rock, aka "Angel on the Nod and the Phantasy Defylment".sinthetic punk riot ghoul sleaze,

aka "The Gutter Ghoulz".alien grooves, broke robot blues.

the corrupted soul yet not sold out spirits of rock n roll playing on spacecraft stereo sinking into psycick pudding on alien world. punk ethics, not bought aesthetics, we hyperventilate and faint it, damaged diva under chemical moon, devastated ghost hauntings, we who will not look the other way, we remember and forsee, dripping wet and wild, what were we talking about? some recordings may still be available, "Future Cells/Past Lives" double cd, self released, Phillip Haut on drums for Future Cells, and of course Jackie Polka on drums for Past Lives. Plus live warehouse recording, "Live, From Ragnarok', Krispy Pickled Corpse on drums. Working on finishing "Death of the Cities" recording, with LV on drums. Our live shows is what we gave our all for , seathing flesthtual thinking feeling membrains, alive! antagonistic and artful, chaotic and emotional, honed and hammered, thrashy epic bombastic, on purpose loose.

Formed in apocalyptic fevers in the year 1999, by Roxy Monoxide, doing guitar and vox, with Frog Fopa on bass, we were a blues punk band with Shannon Crackstem Rose and Annie Rexic being our first two drummers. Then in 2002 LuLu Larceny joined the toxic stew, fullfilling our desires for trans-dimensional breakdowns. Roxy, Frog, and LuLu, With Nori, then, DeeKay, recorded "infectious waste revolution" and "oblivion" and as this four-piece, with one of them on drums, or Brian, Rhani, Andre, Weseley, or ?, we played hundreds of fucked up and freaked out shows all over california, underground and in antique theaters, house parties, bars, clubs, warehouse, on the street.

Roxy Monoxide and LuLu Larceny, sisters in slime, morphed into a two piece band, our "Angel on the Nod and the Phantasy Defylment" creation, Break and Take out on the town, gonna bring this scene down. Bringing our noise rock low-fi beats and deviant postures across the country and into outer space.

Recorded "sixty minutes of muse ick" and made dvd/video "the lust early sneers". Also, more recently but in this vein of our reed bodies, "a spell to break the mind control" cd.

and then we became three, the triad of devastation, probably the most seminal period of The Floating Corpses, future cells and past lives are incarnated, live from ragnarok, death of the cities, and beyond. a dirty and to the song musically rooted format, the three witches work to rock the spell with all our intention, a party and seance, a protest, a poem, trashy tube amp rocknroll guitar, organ keyboard, analog synthesizer soundwave rhythms/harmonies, live played samples, lead vocals emotional and android, backing vocal ghost melodies, and the live monster beat, move those mean feat. dandy-phied punk rock disco in shitty city. experimentation, emotionalism, and damn! we are fucking excited, depressed, rock, jazz, imagination, defiance, subsubcultural potty mouthed poetry, tranny bukowski ripped up granny gear, big daddy in her platform pink heels and leather corset, voodoo spells and mathematical equations to break the mind control, primordial sludge that makes you move, all wrapped in our poisoned candy pop, come dance, come sing, scream, stutter, dream of an underground where the dispossessed and other different beautiful messes can digress and conceptualize, grafitti the city, fuck the scenes, no more hyped retro fit of mediocure shit; something untold, magic and mold, gloom glam weirdo nerd flamboyant drab drama thinking winking wonderment,

come freak out with us.

((Except we are now no more, the trials and trauma's of The Floating Corpses, as triad, and before, are now coming to a close, the next chapter is for Moira Scar.))

(Wondering about what I'm even trying to say or get across, wrote this so long ago, but still would rather say something and rethink it, be a bit embarressed, dated, or egotistical even, and leave it, then to take no chances at all, not gonna give myself too much to this corporate webpage anyway, we still believe in real life interactions, to be alive, yet we are all being driven farther down the river, into the sea. hence our name:we call attention to the dead, to the floating corpses, to draw attention to all of ours mortality, as well for the longstanding punk rock n roll unreasons, the seasons may change, but the cycle continues, but for how long?)

The Freak Mafia, a loosely knit group of friendz and fans of the floating corpses, is our DIY dis-organization bent on such notions as glamourous anarchy and keeping it surreal, feel feel feel feel.

keep in touch, we need allies to help remember in these times of amnesia,

comrades in resistance to product/thought placement, subconscious colonization, self policing by the so called subculture, creatures as meat for the slaughter; Defy!

"gutter ghoulz cumming to your town" we wanna tour the world, we can make up our own minds, as you hopefully can, but we must remain flexible, challenging internal and external bigotries and phobias, but we are really here to try and create a monster, we play our own songs, some creepy, some emotional, some to get you moving physically and on the psycick planes, "dreamtime creeps, so to speak". conversation, we are attempting communication, what are you thinking about? why?

We self release all our music, which is available thru us via snail mail, at live shows, and at a few independent record stores.

We are open to an independant label releasing some stuff by us, plus we need to play the length and girth of the globe many times, anyone wanna kick down some travel expenses? let's get this show on the road, Sao Paulo here we come!
