formed 2006 in Liverpool.

The band consists of lead vocals: Sarah Edwards, guitar: Eddie Sankey, Bass guitar: Chris Wherley and drums: Phil Melville.*************************************************************************************************************************



The Fountains came together through a love of writing recording and performing live.



Influenced by unique and diverse bands such as: Talking Heads, early Pink Floyd, Television and Blondie (to name but a few) the band mix dark lyrics with an edgy, upbeat sound to create music to make the audience stand up, listen and most importantly dance!********************************************************************************************************************************



The Fountains have played throughout Liverpool twice headlining their own night Under the Counter at The Zanzibar

As well as support slots in The Carling Academy and Korova (supporting Mistys Big Adventure)********************************************************************************************************************************



Their live shows created interest from local media such as The Liverpool Echo who named the band ‘unsigned band of the week’

And also interest from BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Dave Monks who gave the band weekly airplay and gig mentions, which then progressed to a studio session featuring an interview, and live performances of ‘Voices’ the debut of ‘Pockets’ and listeners favourite ‘Stuck In The Mud’ that was met with great response from the shows listeners

From their Liverpool shows came offers to travel and play for London based company ‘Bug Bear Promotions’ at their legendary venue ‘The Dublin Castle’ and sister venue ‘The Hope & Anchor’ the band were featured in a promotional booklet and on the website

From London the band then travelled later in the year to play three packed venues in Southampton and Portsmouth receiving a special mention in Portsmouth newspaper ‘The News’

Currently The Fountains are writing new material and are getting ready to record their new demo.*************************************************************************************************************************
