The Drunken Gentlemen

Location:
London and South East, US
Type:
Artist / Band / Musician
Genre:
Alternative / Lounge / Pop
Site(s):
Imaginary music, created by a Dada-ist group of writers, artists and film-makers for a lost century
Hailing from Cardiff, London & Naples, the Baudelaire-quoting Drunken Gentlemen play Amoral Sleaze Music for rogues, Bad Thoughts set to Cheap Tunes – using guitars, synths, violin, zither, accordion, and home-made pipe instruments.
When not living hand-to-bottle in damp bohemian garrets, can be spotted playing various dive bars across Europe and have recently been spotted on TV, wilfully confusing Welsh Television executives and Endemol.
These songs form the perfect soundtrack to a Soho booze-up with Francis Bacon or a Mexican showdown with Yul Brynner (as a robot). An antidote to the malaise of the modern age, challenging the boundaries of accepted genres.
Drink to it, dream of exotic lands, but be warned: these unpredictable sorts are always liable to create an ungodly racket when excited. These gents (and lady) show a healthy disregard for the boundaries of accepted music.
