Hailing from California's Central Valley (Hanford), Dot Calm manufactures a unique brand of alternative hip hop (dubbed "LoungeHop") that is geared for a more esoteric and intellectual rap experience. His beats are quirky and often have a vinyl-esque quality. His lyrics are articulately delivered and full of abstract insight. His songs' thematic elements run the gamut from comedy and drama to braggadocio and cheeky social commentary. He is currently living in Brooklyn and writing in the third person.
