The Couriers is a four-piece band from NYC that delivers a unique blend of modern indie rock hooks brimming with math-rock and post-punk sensibilities. At once driving and up-beat, rocking and dreamy, they share moments reminiscent of the British Invasion, as well as respect for the rugged street-smarts of Fugazi and Blonde Redhead. Other influences include The Beatles, Sebadoh, Guided By Voices, and The Police.

NYC's local indie mag, The Deli, asks, "Where has this band been hiding? It's rare to have the singular, exhilarating experience of listening to a new band and realizing that you're listening to the next outfit worthy of indie-stardom. This is exactly what I felt when I heard the first guitar strums of The Couriers' debut album. A four piece with post-punk sensibility, their sound is edgy, but dreamy. It's a testament to their music talents that they've only been together since '04 because their sound is polished, with layered melodies and intricate harmonies. Highlights include the haunting track "Every Exit an Entrance", and the frenetic "Day of Man." This is damn good music, and the album's biggest shortcoming is that there are only nine tracks".

The Couriers original recording of "Every Exit an Entrance" appears in the 2006 film "Holly" starring Chris Penn (Reservoir Dogs) and Ron Livingston (Office Space).

The Couriers play regularly at NYC venues including CBGB, Trash Bar, Rothko, and Crash Mansion, as well as at clubs in New Jersey and Boston. Their live show is consistently full of explosive energy and playful dynamics that bring crowds back again and again.
