Multi platinum producers The Co-Stars try to keep it simple. “We’re best behind the boards. That’s always been our thing. We focus on the music and allow the artist to be the star.” In their almost ten year career The Co-Stars have been blessed with a string of gold and platinum records with artists that include Fantasia,Chingy,Jaheim,Jojo,Bone Thugs and Harmony,3LW, and Teiarra Mari just to name a few.
In 2006 after racking up credits in a long list of major motion pictures including both BarberShop 1 and 2, and John Singleton’s Four Brothers, The Co-Stars landed their first film composing credit in Lions Gate’s “Millionaire Boys Club” starring recording artist The Game. Also, expanding their outreach in music for Film and TV, The Co-Stars partnered with Lady Gaga's worldwide manager Troy Carter, in September 2010, to launch a new music licensing company called Atom Factory Music Licensing.
Branching out into artist development in 2005, securing major label distribution for LeMarvin (MoTown/Universal) and Sophia Fresh (Atlantic Records), Co-Stars Ent have recently signed female urban-alternative artist Sabi (from the Bangz) to Warner Brothers Records, through a joint venture with superstar producer Dr.Luke (2010).
The Future:
Continue to create quality music. “No matter what changes the music business goes through there is one constant. The music we listen to becomes the soundtrack to our lives. That will never change.”
In October 2010 Co-Stars Ent signed up a new Alternative Superstar, Artist, Songwriter Sizzy Rocket to their record label Van Nuys Records (VNR). "From the moment we met Sizzy, we knew she had a special gift that needs to be shared with World. We’re blessed to keep finding things that keep us excited about the game. We’re constantly challenging ourselves both creatively and as entrepreneurs. It keeps it fresh.”
