All musicians & producer involved have donated their time, talent and their future income generated from these projects to charities that help the NOLA Musicians: The New Orleans Musicians Clinic; The Mardi Gras Indians Hall of Fame; The Congo Square Drummers; The Ashe Foundation; The Reverend Lois DeJean Youth Assistance Foundation; Sweet Home New Orleans, Preservation Hall Foundation, etc.
This international effort includes some of thee greatest musicians in the world. A unique musical extravaganza that takes the listener on a journey from the African continent, right to the heart of CONGO SQUARE and beyond. Four albums that include Musical Ensembles, Tap Dancing, Beat Poetry, Drum Solos, Street Musicians, etc.
We feel tat the world would be a very different place without the Crescent City's rich musical contribution, we owe them much more than we can ever give back! Hopefully, with the music industry's recent changes, and, the current re-construction that the digital era is bringing us, we hope that a more noble and less predictable order should emerge in the new music world.
The first albums, SACRED GROUND Volumes 1 & 2 trace the origins of american music, going all the way back to the start of it all, to Mother Africa & our Native Americans, we should never forget that.
