Shot and Directed in 1984 in Rochester N.Y. by Stacy Zaferes, and Animated / Video by Steven J. Brooks. For senior BFA projects at the Rochester Institute of Technology, School of Photographic Arts and Sciences.

Made back in the analog days...
Stacy shot rolls of B&W 35 MM stills of the Chesterfield Kings as they did the parts.
Then she printed all the picts as 3X5's I think, maybe it was 4X6's, and registered them on Acme punched paper. She painted some of the pictures by hand as well.
I (Steven) put them under the animation crane and shot them, then transferring the film (and the 45rpm record) to video for final sync.

This tape barely survived into the digital era. It was in a fire in 1993, and in 2008, when I got a chance to transfer it, there were a couple of control track dropouts. I only got one shot to really "Play" the tape, digitizer on and ready (tapes don't last forever).
I fixed the video dropouts (do that for a job sometimes, so no problem), You can still hear the audio flaw the dropout caused. I didn't mess with the video anymore. As you can see, the dub is a couple of generations, and somewhere along the way, the white levels went too high, and caused the horizontal distorting...
