THE BOSS PLAYAS HIT THE SCENE WITH THEIR SMASH SINGLE & VIDEO WHOS YA BOY

For Immediate Release: Los Angeles, CA: August 7, 2006

J Records announces the release of their newest hit group The Boss Playas. The duo made up of Nomadik and Sonny Santino is laced with pimped out, stylish flows sure to satisfy any rap fan and in the case of The Boss Playas, any true playa.

The Boss Playas are currently on the road working their new single Whos Ya Boy which is already receiving positive feedback from radio, retail and media outlets. The group recently shot a video for the single Whos Ya Boy which will be seen on BET, MTV and regional video shows throughout the country. The Buffalo, New York-based duo totes the type of swagger thet should be bottled up and sold to the highest bidder. While their wit and musical talents demand attention in their own rights, its the simplistic mix of the two thet keeps the listeners ear interested. Void of ultra-imaginary tales of a diamond-encrusted and champagne-drowned lifestyle, The Boss Playas songs offer flashes of the good life without sacrificing the pureness of the music. With both members boasting both athletic and musical backgrounds, the competitive and creative natures of these artists show in each track they produce.

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Nomadik was influenced by an atmosphere that included a songwriting mother and a record-collecting father. At the same time in Southampton, Long Island, Sonny Santino was on a similar journey. To his young eyes, his piano-playing father was Stevie Wonder and his mother was the best singer on the planet. But it wasnt until his aunt introduced him to Hip Hop that he knew what was destined for him. Nomadik and Sonnys paths would cross as teenagers in the under-the-radar music hotbed of Buffalo; home to recording legend Rick James.

Both men are skilled producers, writers and engineers; making the creation processes a smooth ride. Their chemistry shines on songs like Pimp Strut where they pair commanding melody with sure-handed lyrics,tight-knit production and poignant narratives. Jewels like Ring The Alarm show that The Boss Playas are more then just a fancy moniker, but indeed apropos title that was earned through years grinding. They also flex their penchant for crafting certified club-bangers on Shake It with rolling bass, neck-snapping bounce and undeniable lyrical prowess.

Speaking about the groups dynamic, Sonny Santino explains, We just let our worlds collide to make the best music possible. Hip Hop is in a state of emergency and I want us to be the answer.

Indeed. After The Boss Playas leave their mark on the game, the only question left to be answered will be: Can we have more?
