The Bluff is a five-piece rock n' roll outfit that fuses indie rock, Americana, jam-rock, and funk sounds into constantly evolving and energetic live shows. Conceived in the spring of 2004 from a combination of Vanderbilt and Belmont students, The Bluff began playing fraternity parties and small clubs before soon coming to dominate the local college music scene, headlining venues throughout the Southeast, selling out The Bitter End, Canal Room, and Sullivan Hall on their last four trips to New York City, sharing the stage with bands like Jazz Mandolin Project, RAQ, Moon Taxi, Virginia Coalition and HoneyBaked, and winning a slot at Vanderbilt's Rites of Spring Festival three times in four years.

Since its inception the band has compiled a vast catalog of original material and classic covers, spearheaded by bandleader and songwriter Ben Cameron, Joe Andrews on guitar, and Lucas Leigh on organ and piano. Together their styles feature crafty songwriting, rich, detailed melodies, powerful keyboards and a rock solid rhythm section. They are currently preparing to record their debut album.
