The Blue Threads began in 2004 when Dalton Dunn and Brandon Custer met up at a jam session down at The Shakespeare Pub in H-town. They had some serious musical chemistry and decided to form a band. With some line-up changes and a full-length album under their belt, they landed bassmaster Chris Spencer in 2008, and began working on a groovin' new sound. The new sound is a varied mix of rock, blues, funk, reggae, punk and ska music. The H-town trio recently completed the recording of their new EP, which was released in July 2009. The band's name is a description of their style: A heavy blues influence dressed in many different ways.
