Explosive, erudite and energetic, Boston's the Blue Bloods bust out hard hitting, almost anthemic punk rock tunes to bring a crowd up off their feet and into the air. The emphasis is on the rock -- hard hitting and hooky guitar work complementing raw and melodic vocals. They aptly synthesize their influences, which include Minor Threat, Slapshot, Black Flag, The Misfits, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, The Bouncing Souls and more.

Hard work and a DIY ethic helped the Blue Bloods record and release their first two CDs Rub Some Dirt on It (1999) and Twice as Strong (2001) on their own label Basement Records. Twice as Strong started to gain both media and label attention. In 2002, the band signed to the popular European punk label I Scream Records. They hit the Outpost Studio (Stoughton, MA) in August 2002 to record their self-titled full-length album under the guidance of Jim Siegal (Dropkick Murphys, Slapshot, Blood for Blood). 2003 saw the album released overseas in April on I Scream and stateside in September on GMM Records. In October the band got the opportunity to be a part of the European Back On The Map Tour with other Boston greats Slapshot and Blood for Blood.

The Blue Bloods have shared the stage with bands such as the Dropkick Murphys, Blood for Blood, Slapshot, Street Dogs, Darkbuster, The Pug Uglies, Far From Finished, The Dents, The Unseen, The Ducky Boys, The Queers, Sinners and Saints, Hudson Falcons, Deadline (UK), Toxic Narcotic, Brain Failure, Tommy and the Terrors and many more.

The band has just released their new album Death of a Salesman and continues to play live for their great fans as much as possible.
