The Black Six

The Black Six is on indefinite hiatus. No big fight or anything. We're all just getting more involved with other parts of our lives. Besides, to be fair, trying to keep a band like ours alive in Murfreesboro or Nashville, TN is perhaps the most difficult thing a person could ever try to do. Just ask the many local bands we loved in the past couple of years that have gone defunct in larger and larger numbers. My suggestion to anyone who lives in Nashville or Murfreesboro and loves local and independent music and wants to help it thrive and develop? Don't start a band. Open up a venue. Put on house shows in your basement. Or just go to shows. I wish I could say that's what I was doing, but I'll be honest. Going to local shows, as great as it can be, is just too heartbreaking for me. Maybe one day the three of us will get bored and get together again. Until then, thank you to everyone who listened to us and supported us. We love you all.
