The Bench Connection

Myspace have robbed our nice warm profile for this corporate advertising whoredom - sorry it looks temporarily shit, we'll get on redesigning it. Ugh.
Well, hello. The Bench Connection, if you didn't know are Chris Sheehan and Matt Deighton. On the finest days (when the world is spinning at just the right angle) we are blessed by the big big hearts which are Tim Weller and Mikey Rowe, Bevis Hungate and Julia Thornoton. We put out an album a couple of years ago and spent all our rusty money trying to let the world hear it. Lots of gold souls helped us up the hill - especially James Davies; Dave Stansbie and Dave Anderson. and Drew Lorimer who did the artwork. We ended up stuck in the mud at Glastonbury while Pete Doherty played so loud we had to turn our acoustic guitars all the way up to three.

We would love to make another one but we're so poor we can't pay attention. so every once in a while Chris Difford kindly hides us in some wonderful place where we write another song. one at a time. which we record in London. and slowly slowly. an EP is coming together. Hell, it's even going to have drums on it. Let's play safe and say it'll be out in 2014. And if it falls off the tree before such autumnal hymns are sung, then we'll all get together and share a loaf.
If you are interested in helping us get another record made, get in touch. in the meantime Matt is slowly crafting a new, outrageously beautiful record. Chris has a finished solo one and is just about finished with a new project with Mark Brydon.
But it is nice here. in the woods. in the sun. so we'll see you soon. maybe.
