TAD’s farewell



Alright folks,



this is it: We have decided to end this: THE ANTI DOCTRINE is no more.

As STRAIGHT (2001 to 2004) and THE ANTI DOCTRINE (2004 to 2008) we’ve experienced UPs and DOWNs of unexplicable types. Some of them can be roughly described – and that is what we want to share with you:



*WE MET PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY KNEW WHAT THIS BAND IS ABOUT.

.AND THOSE WHO WITH FEW WORDS SHOWED THE REALLY DID



*WE MET PEOPLE WHO LITERALLY LIVE FOR HEAVY MUSIC.

.AND THOSE WHO LOVE THE “TOUGH-GUY LABEL” ON THEIR SHIRT



*WE PLAYED IN FRONT OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.

.AND PERFORMED FOR AN AUDIENCE SMALLER THAN THE BAND



*WE TOURED WITH HUGE NAMES IN THE WORLD OF HEAVY MUSIC.

.AND SHARED STAGES WITH UNKNOWN BANDS THAT IMPRESSED US TEN TIMES MORE



*WE PLAYED IN PEOPLE’S BASEMENTS.

.AND ON BIG FESTIVAL’S KINGSIZE STAGES



*WE WITNESSED MOMENTS OF PURE ROCK N ROLL.

.AND GOT CONFRONTED WITH THE STERILE MUSIC BIZ VERSION OF IT



*WE SHARED MOMENTS OF HIGHEST PRIDE.

.AND MOMENTS OF PURE HUMILIATION



*WE MET BOOKERS WHO LOVE LIVE-SHOWS.

.AND BOOKERS WHO JUST THINK IT’S COOL TO BE A BOOKER



*WE WORKED ON OUR VERSION OF EXTREME MUSIC.

.AND ARE GRATEFUL FOR ANYONE OUT THERE WHO APPRECIATED THAT



Tough decisions need their time and we took our time to think about whether or not continuing as a band. In the past weeks and months we intensively tried to find something that could work as our common future musical project. We had several ideas but it turned out that there is no more such thing as “the spirit of TAD”.



Anyone who has been involved in this band will be in our hearts forever. You shared this wonderful time with us and supported us every here and then. Thank you guys big time. There is one name we want to mention here: Mr. Allen Wright @ GO DOWN BELIEVING !!! This guy tore his ass off for us and kept on believing in TAD as he believed in STRAIGHT. He did a fantastic job getting our asses on the dirtiest stages. Thank you for that, brother!



As a farewell goodie we have completely re-loaded our MySpace Player with six tracks. Three of them are COMPLETELY NEW and UNRELEASED. The rest has been released on splits and samplers. Feel free to download the tracks and fucking spread them among your friends.
