the1shanti lives in Brooklyn

where he runs a boutique record label and works on digital projects with ElekTro4 under the name +2 Propaganda. In 2006, he was dubbed the "Indian Bambaataa" for helping enable the spread of hip-hop culture to South Asia. Most recently, he has been working on writing and producing for Afrika Bambaataa's next album with some of the world's leading artists. In early 2010 a new solo EP, Attack of the Flow, is scheduled for release followed by a full length in the spring. Shanti is concurrently preparing the release of Bonita Applebum's debut EP. In the meantime, he continues to fall for tall brunettes, loving and leaving them in his wake.
