THA BOOGIE is a group of young creative and talented individuals who write, produce, record, arrange and perform their own music. The unique style of each member compliments the other as they journey into a genre of music that can be enjoyed by all. This mixture of Pop, Hip hop, R&B and Alternative Soul, Has been deemed "Experimental". THA BOOGIE has an urban originality that fuels them to produce songs that have no boundaries. If you like Prince and Outkast, you will love Tha Boogie. NuSchool, with a love for music and admiration of artist who were closely associated with camps or cliques which brought other artists, producers & songwriters together such as the Super Friends; Timbaland, Missy, Playa, Aaliyah, Ginuwine, etc. Decided he liked the model and would embark on configuring one himself. Calling it "Tha Boogie Down Movement" TBDM. One of the first members of TBDM, his cousin Korus, who relocated to to take part in the music. He was then introduced to a young producer named Lejin by Lejin's sister. The two had already known each other but never knew they had such similar taste in music and the common desire of creating it. When the boys got together, they set up a small home studio in the garage, with a free standing screen for a recording booth. They immediately realized that the other had something different and the chemistry was set. Initially the music was very futuristic and not considered main stream by most people. They were told to tone it down a bit. As a matter of fact the Production Team was called Robot. The name spoke for itself. TBDM went on to recruit other members.
Eventually, the crew was left with Nuschool, Lejin and Korus, together they formed the recording Group "THA BOOGIE".
MEMBERS:.//////////////////////LEJ!N: Singer/ Music Producer/Arranger, is a 20yr old college student who can create sounds that set the group apart from the rest. Vocally he adds a gospel soul that plays a major role in the groups signature sound. His creative ear adds the flavor and content that Tha Boogie represents. /////////////////////////K.ORUS: Singer/songwriter is a 20year old college student who's distinct vocal tone has stood out since she began singing at the age of 7. Most commonly she has been compared to beloved artist like Kelis and Lauryn Hill. Her corky sense of style and individuality along with her sultry voice completes the group's vision and overall sense of direction.
////////////////////////NUSCHOOL: Singer/Songwriter/Rapper/Vocal Producer and Arranger is a 22 yr old college graduate, with a B.A in Music Business. His ear for melodies and lyrical content is the glue that gels the group's over all sound together. Combining his Classical, R&B, and Alternative influences he has been noted as being an undeniable talent.
. THA BOOGIE is the next astonishing Group to come out of Southern California, with a fan base that is growing everyday. Major labels are showing great interest in the group and their distinct style.

They recently toured with award winning singer/songwriter/producer Raphael Saadiq. As his protege and opening act, Tha Boogie performed on the west coast for sold out crowds at venues such as The House of Blues San Diego and Sunset, The Fillmore in San Francisco, and on the East Coast in Boston, Philly, New York at The Fillmore, Baltimore, Washington DC and Atlanta.
