Tez was introduced to Floyd in the womb and was born to parents who at first ran a PA company, which 35 years later is now a highly regarded Staging and Rigging company. Her childhood was full of traveling, gigs, festivals and political awareness. Fond early memories are recalled of falling asleep during reggae gigs, on a sheepskin under a stage to the warm comforting vibrations of sub bass from above. The bug was caught for music and travel at day one. A dream of becoming a 'rock star' emerged fairly young. She started playing the Clarinet at 7, rapidly moving on to the Saxophone at 9. Playing in school bands was just not cutting it So a guitar was bought and her first 'rock' band was formed at 11, and apart from the incredibly awful (but funny) rock clothes. it wasn't a bad band.
Tez spent 6 years being the guitarist and co-writer of the all-girl band 'Daze', which had it's moments of success before undergoing a stereotypical teenage hormonal crazy bitchy break-up. She put down her guitar and spent 2 years sulking.
At 19, Tez's Mum bought herself a piano, which Tez liked to think of as her own. Inspired by this new expressive instrument she began writing songs again. Over the following 2 years Tez was in and out of bands playing guitar and piano, and began to develop a singing voice. She also joined a band called Loopstorm as a singer. Loopstorm have recorded many singles, EPs and albums. Loopstorm are still alive and signed to Sonic-Hub Records. At 20 she decided to go down the solo singer song-writer route. The years following that were packed with work commitments, solo gigs, traveling, marriage, divorce and roundabouts with too many exits to choose from, which has formed the back bone of her current material.
Three EP's are available - 'Time' and 'A taste Of What's To Come' and the most recent Album Sample. All are recorded and produced by Tez in her own studio. They are available by contacting her myspace or at live gigs.
New and better songs are being churned out in preparation for her first solo album. She now co-writes a lot of material with her genius brother Tommy. Along with musical input and dedication from her multi instrumentalist partner Martyn Campbell. The new stuff will either have you moving or it will haunt your soul and squeeze your heart.
Whilst working towards a music career, Tez keeps the pennies rolling in as a Tour Manager, Photographer, Rigger and Project Manager (including Live 8, Hyde Park concert series, Pink, George Michael, Foo Fighters, Roger Waters, Rod Stewart, Shack, ).
