Testing Vault is an experimental and "Moodianic/Industrial" Musick project born in Italy in 2003 by SAinT dANi HA-HA-HA, aka dANi/ALvo, or dAMNi/ALvo, better known as ANAL/divo, ALAN void A.K.A. A.void, Joo-Joe Alley, Edgar Allan Fish or DNA-i, influenced by bands, projects or Art movements like Coil, Jonathan Briley solo works, Dadaism, Premature Ejaculation Surrealism and all the Rozz Williams's Work, early Psychic TV, Jean Genet, Kenneth Anger and Current 93.
dANi, after months of nervous breakdowns and anorexia, begin to work on his music and in the first months of 2003 with the two demos in cassette "THE NOIR-NOIR CABARET" and "L'UMOR FINSTERE" create also the term "mood-ianic", for describe his project because is the only word that can describe his visions and his feelings in that particular times. In the November of 2004, thanks to his friendship with the Collective of Black Sun Productions comes out on Anarcocks his first official work, "SOME VOICES SAY ROSEMARY'S NOT DEAD", limited to 50 copies handnumbered and signed by ANAL/divo himself,a dark, rough and smut work influenced by Dadaism , Anton Szandor La Vey and Surrealism.
After that work, dAMNi/Alvo become a "Children Ov Thee Black Sun" and get out in 2005 with an unofficial 4-tracks ep called "Unreleased Backwards Themes" and appears with an unreleased track for the exxxtreme italian magazine "Amoeba", titled "Oh.A Night In Paris".
TV in 2006 Partecipate Like Guest In The New BLACK SUN PRODUCTIONS Release Out For Old Europa Cafe And Called "The Impossibility Of Silence" With Great Legends Like Lydia Lunch, Val Denham And More Others With A Track Called "Backbone", and during the 2006 Summer Appears With A Brand New Track For The Third Online Compilation Of NEO-FOLK.IT, with "I Am The Child (Part 2)".
Testing Vault Has Also Partecipated In The Creative Process, Creating Some Samples, In Two Tracks Of Another Black Sun Productions Album Release For Old Europa Cafe Called "CHEMISM". TV contribute is present on tracks 1 ("TIME UNCAPTURED") and 4 ("CHEMISM").
After That Guest Collaboration, dANi Has Partecipate In Autumn 2007 Into This Three Releases: "Inno A Satana", vinyl by Teatro Satanico, Old Europa Cafe. Various Artists - The Appeal of Discarded Orthodoxy - A Tribute to [[David E. Williams]], 2CD Compilation, Old Europa Cafe. In The First Case He Sang An Original Song, In The Second Make A Cover Of The Great David E. Williams.
In Autumn 2007, hit by a nervous breakdown, dANi/ALvo Release "THE COMPLETE SHIT EXORCISM", a 28 minutes private ritual for exorcise the illness, and give them as a free gift in a MySpace Contest, limited to 10 winners only.
In The End Of 2007/Beginning Of 2008 Winter dANi/ALvo Was A Guest Star In the Albums Of MuzaKiller Foundation "Amor Vacui" Singing In Two Tracks, And In The Debut Album Of The Neo-Folk Italian Band Egida Aurea Playing The Harmonium. Another 2008 Unreleased TV Track Called "The Worm Sequence" Is Appeared In February In The "Trinity On Tritherapy BOX", A 3cd Box, Released By Bone Structure Label.
"The Laughing Torso" Was Finally Published By Final Muzik On Wednesday 12 March 2008 and was very well received by the critic and the audience, showing finally in a large range of publication the solo talent of dANi/ALvo.
During 2008/9 Testing Vault Has Remixed 5 Songs for Black Sun Productions, Has Writed In Summer 2008 With Val Denham Some Songs For The Album "Titania" ("SEE THE STARS", "ANIMATE ME", "SHE WAITS FOR NOTHING", "WE ARE THE HYDROGEN"). In Autumn-Winter 2008 dANi/ALvo founded the Art Movement called THE EDGAR ALLAN FISH MEMORIAL CENTER.
In 2009 Dani Appears Again As A Guest In A Val Denham/Black Sun Productions' Release For Tourette Records' Label, The CD "Somewhere Between Desire And Despair" with the track "STARS".
In January 2009 Founded With PR The Dub Project CITIZEN INSANE, A 45 Minutes Long EP Was Already Recorded, Released By Anarcocks, Then Dani choose to drop the label.
In 23 December 2009, "Interzone X-Mass Day", dANi/ALvo, aka ANAL/divo, known also as ALAN/void, DNA-i and Joo-Joe Alley, Published On The Net The EDGAR ALLAN FISH MEMORIAL CENTER MANIFESTO, which will change completely the visions and the views of his body of work and make a larger range of his conceptual works.
EDGAR ALLAN FISH MEMORIAL CENTER has currently finished to edit his first Artfilm, a 28 minutes short called "THE COMPLETE SHIT EXORCISM", based on an semi-unreleased piece of music by Testing Vault, released as well in autumn 2010 as a Music-EP for Toxic Industries Label.
In 12 April 2010 ALAN/void Has Also Released the New TESTING VAULT EP Called "PHANTASMAGORIA", the title track is composed with one member of the most great italian 80's industrial bands, Rosemary's Baby, and this disc will be dedicated to Gidget Gein's Memory.
On July 2011 a new EP called "Connect, I Cut" (showing this time a dANi/ALvo much more influenced by Angus MacLise, Beatnik Movement and Rozz Williams instead of Coil) see the light of the day for the netlabel and webzine SoundsBehindTheCorner, meanwhile in the end of September 2011 a Double-CD called "Cities Of The Red Lights" saw the light for his new label Looney-Tick Productions.
Actually Testing Vault is working on two releases, "Pariah (Section A)" which will be both published in limited and hand-numbered Art Editions in 2012 with Allan Zane, and "Pariah", that will be published in September Equinox by Quartier23 Label.
