Hi~ ~ ~ I moved to Nashville in 1979 just before graduating high school. I had been offered a
position playing pedal steel guitar at Opryland just previously to that, and eagerly accepted! I've been in the professional music business here in some capacity nearly constantly ever since. Though I still play on many recordings I am most 'in my 'element' Producing~ ~'Creating'
music always takes my spirit soaring into the clouds. so as a Producer, being involved in a music recording or an
entertainment project from the very early stages is usually where I thrive most~ The song (message) and
the vocal (musical tone) is where it truly happens for me~ Marrying the song with the ideal vocalist is
always a most enjoyable phase of any recording project, and where I feel I excel above all. (There can never be too many great songs .or too many great vocalists, in my
opinion) .and I'm always looking for those I feel stand out among the rest! Above everything though, my greatest regard
is always for God who is my ultimate leader .and every living thing ~
~ ~ From very early on in my childhood and all through my life and various occupations I've led an incredibly
unbelievable life!! .being blessed to witness and partake in some of the most awesome events, experiences, and
miracles that seemingly near unimaginable. In this bio section I will not go there~ .but rather list some
things that are easy to believe, and pertaining solely to my music/production career. Nonetheless, I consider these
all as blessings, . for which I am truly grateful for having lived through and experienced -with some very Awesome
individuals! ~
~ ~ Through my career as a professional musician and producer I've had the good fortune to have either worked on
stage/in bands (or in recording studios) with many wonderful people~ Many recording artists including Roy
Acuff and Minnie Pearl, Jimmy C Newman (Grand Ole Opry), Tom T Hall, Carl Perkins, Mac Wiseman, Wanda Jackson,
The Glaser Brothers, Johnny Lee, Tanya Tucker, Paul Gregg and Greg Jennings (members of Restless Heart), Becky
Hobbs, Randy Barlow, Merle Haggard, Brent Mason, Jeanne Pruitt (Grand Ole Opry), Jeannie C Riley, Jimmy
Olander and Dana Williams (members of Diamond Rio), The Lynns, Becky Hobbs, Wade Hayes, Ken Mellons, Ty
Hearndon, Jo Dee Messina, and Keven Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw a time or two. I literally grew up while
playing music professionally, for which I thank God, and mom and dad everyday~ In 1993, I was hired by Shania Twain
and worked as her band leader/pedal steel guitar player and road manager, within only months after she arrived in
Nashville. ~ ~ I left Shania later on in 1993 due to a fabulous opportunity arising to produce a couple of
talented twins (Peggy and Patsy Lynn), daughters of Country Music Legend Loretta Lynn (.and yes I even
played steel with Loretta Lynn a time or two ;) my momma was sure proud to hear about that! Shania continued
to keep my band members and touring personnel on to continue with her over the next couple of seasons with only a few
exceptions, obviously filling my previous positions. Only several months after finishing up the recording sessions
with The Lynns, and taking their first recording project in to be heard by Warner Bros. associate Martha Sharp, they
signed their first recording deal with Warner Brothers Records here in Nashville. Nothing ever happens
overnight. or does it?! ~ ~ I've continued to produce artists and recordings here in Nashville since
that time (including a project with my brother called The Wendt Brothers- which was internationally released on
WMI Records in 1995, since changed to our WMI Nashville Indie label). ~ ~ A whole lot of water has passed
under the bridge since the first 1995 radio release, .with other successful artists launches, national radio
releases, and promotional and marketing campaigns~ (At times .life is nearly unbelievable!) Through the
years God has continuously blessed my music career, with appearances on nationally televised music shows like 'Hee
Haw', 'Back Stage at The Grand Ole Opry', 'On Stage', 'Pop Goes The Country'- Ralph Emery, and others/GAC and CMT
('Shania Twain's Video Biography'- on CMT/Tangible Vision Ent.), etc. ~it has really all been too very
cool~
~ ~ More recently, while either recording, producing or performing, I've worked with the following artists: Shane
Owens, Megan Mullins, Chace Roberts, Joe Nichols, Steve Holy, Bliss Bujard, Andy Griggs, Billy Ryan, John Michael
Montgomery, Kara Clark, Phillip Glynn, Mark Collie, Correna Ann, Ray Scott, Trent Tomlinson, River County- and
probably a few others I'm forgetting. Today you can most always find me producing records in our own private studio.

A few years ago I authored a book about my life and happenings within the inner workings of
Nashville's Music Biz -then over 25+ years (including my time working with Shania Twain while she was getting started early on here in
Nashville, hiring and assembling her own first band, playing and road managing her first shows, etc., working with many artists previously mentioned and on the Grand Ole Opry, working with and producing The Lynns, producing The Wendt Brothers, starting the WMI label, with over 85 photos and much, much more) called.
