Determination, Dedication and Direction are key elements needed to succeed in what is known as today's music industry. Few people are able to overcome the many obstacles that often deter those with talent and a dream. Enter Terrell Howard, a gifted recording artist, and CEO of Hitbox Music with a fearless spirit to win over fans one note at a time.

Determination:

Terrell Howard is a 24 year old singer/songwriter bred from Flatbush - Brooklyn, New York, who began crafting his art at an early age. He attended the Professional Performing Arts High School in NYC, while simultaneously receiving vocal training at the prestigious Julliard. Upon graduation from high school, Howard was accepted to the highly-competitive, Berklee College of Music.

Dedication:

In 2003, Terrell Howard took a leap of faith, when he declined the offer to attend Berklee, in lieu of signing a major label recording contract with Arista Records. However, within a year, Howard was released from Arista with a slew of other artists due to the merger between Arista and BMG. Not one to be deterred from his dream, Howard decided to continue his foray into the music industry as a songwriter, while developing his own talent to pursue another recording contract. His songwriting ingenuity has landed him opportunities with R&B superstars, Usher Raymond, Slim of 112 and more. His smooth vocal skills and artistry gained the likes of Missy Elliot, along with the songwriting collective, The Clutch which includes Keri Hilson, songwriter Sean "The Pen" Garrett who wrote for Beyonce, Mario, et. al., and the late Shakir Stewart, former VP of Def Jam recordings. Howard lists Timberland, Babyface and Rodney Jerkins as hopeful future collaborations.

Direction:

The music industry has shifted significantly in recent years, causing artists to become innovative and become CEOs of their own labels to further push their projects. Terrell Howard has taken his future into his hands by creating the imprint Hitbox Music to house himself as an artist, eventually signing and releasing other artists from his label. Terrell describes his sound as being likened to the real singers of R&B including, Charlie Wilson, Aaron Hall and R. Kelly, bringing back the 90s sound, while incorporating edgy lyrics. As far as artists that inspired him growing up, he lists classic chart toppers such as Luther Vandross & Boyz II Men. He's been featured on Power 105.1 NYC's radio station, New NY unsigned hype segment, for an exclusive interview with host Jovonn The Last Don. Terrell Howard introduced two singles, "I'm Your Man", produced by Jasper Cameron who also produced Ciara, Lloyd, & J. Holiday and "Come With Me", written by Terrell, and produced by Bill Jabr who produced "Break U Down" by Slim of 112. Not only is Howard a talented singer/songwriter, but he's also endorsed by Cavi, a young contemporary menswear line based in NYC with a national presence.

Terrell Howard's talent and achievements are what seperates him from many other artists. As he perseveres through the volitility of the music industry there is only one way for him to go, to the top.
