Ten Mile Tide is a San Francisco-based six-piece that plays a smooth blend of feel-good acoustic rock, foot-stomping folk, and beer-drenched bluegrass. Formed in 1999, the group is composed of Jason (lead electric guitar, vocals) and Justin Munning (rhythm acoustic guitar, vocals), Steve Kessler (fiddle), Jeff Clemetson (bass), Matt Mitchel (keys) and John Morales (drums). Artists such as Bob Dylan and Neil Young influence the band's strong focus on songwriting. Influences such as the Allman Brothers, the Grateful Dead, and The Band further define Ten Mile Tide's dynamic live sound.

Ten Mile Tide has shared the stage with other national touring acts such as The Wailers, Dispatch, moe., MOFRO, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Strangefolk, The Clumsy Lovers, Railroad Earth, and The Slip and has played festivals such as CMJ, High Sierra Music Festival, Wakarusa, Three Rivers Festival, and Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival.

In the summer of 2004, Ten Mile Tide was selected as one of 10 finalists in Relix magazine’s Jamoff competition out of a pool of over 200 unsigned bands. The band was featured in the June issue of the magazine and their song "Sweet Life" was included on a promotional Relix compilation CD which was distributed at major summer 2004 festivals. Ten Mile Tide was also nominated for a Jammy Award in 2006 for Best New Group.
