Julie (guitar/vocals), Janet (bass/harmonies) and Nicola (drums/harmonies) are already doing just that, having played well-received, energetic and exciting live shows in all the staple Melbourne venues, and in Sydney.



The trio met playing in a garage pop-rock band which gained some notoriety in their home town, and played a successful tour of London, Germany and Austria in 2006. Upon their return to Melbourne, having formed a close musical bond on tour, they began Teko.



Teko soon recorded their debut EP - an infectious mix of clever pop songs featuring impeccable 60's tinged vocals, dirty yet catchy guitars, melodic, driving bass-lines, and solid, creative drumming. This self-financed, independently-released EP has received a great response, selling well at shows and online through CD Baby and Waterfront Records. It has also received considerable airplay on stations such as Triple J, 3RRR, 3PBS, 3CR and FBi (Australia), RNE Radio 3 and Radio Rivas (Spain), and WLUW (America).
