Who the hell are The Tedio Boys ? I heard a Teddy asking at The Big Rumble Festival, prior to the spontaneous blaze they set to celebrate the occasion. Hailing from Coimbra Portugal

These savages weren’t focused on ego gratification or too concerned with the outcome.

The Tedio Boys were the first to venture across the pond and toured the US. Coast to Coast, leaving us with bruises and great memories.

Their first US. Tour “Hellraiser " in the Spring of ’97 with labelmates, The Independents, was as harmonious as a rival soccer match, which with divine luck they survived.

The press often compared their fuel injected wiry psycho–bop to the Cramps, Gun Club and Screamin' Jay Hawkins music.

Nicely said but to really capture the whole synergy and get the true spirit you had to see them live, never pre-meditated, always surprising, unlike many groups today pretending they live in the fifties, singing about pin-ups and hot rods. The Tedio Boys were an all-out rock’n’roll powerhouse capable of matching todays best live acts, they knew how to channel America’s garage-punk past, nasty and greasy without a trace of post-modern irony, simply reacting to the stimulus at hand. Today the Boys have departed but not into obscurity, in their native Portugal, their genuinely inspiring brand of 100% outer space shit is still a point of reference.
