Rhythm guitar, singer, songwriter. I was born in Baltimore, MD, raised in West Chester, PA and North Jersey. For the last 8 years I've been playing mainly as a solo artist. Ted Hammock and the Blowout Boys is my four piece band that's used for full band shows. I also play as a duo sometimes with my friend Matt Fisher. I have done hundreds of wedding cocktail hours and dinner receptions. Musically I've been so influenced by Jack Johnson, Dispatch, Sublime, Dave Matthews, Cat Stevens, and many many more. I love more chill stripped down acoustic music. So this space is about the pursuit of my songs and their growth. I love the gauntlet of human emotion and the feelings that people experience. I've delved into that in my music and tried to express what I've gone through and I think so many have gone through in one way or another. I go wherever the gigs take me depending upon the seasons. Long Beach Island, NJ in the summer and Vail, Colorado in the winter are my main spots, although I've played in over 20 states. I love to play music and that's why I'm constantly gigging. Im so fortunate to be able to do what I love for a living. 4 years ago I released an EP entitled "When I See You Smile." My next was my first full length album "Making My Way" which is out and I will be constantly touring in support of it. I'm releasing my newest EP "in Between" in October 2010. Anything you can do to spread the vibe would be awesome and much appreciated! See you at the shows!

"Mark my words, this may very well be the summer of Hammock, TED HAMMOCK, that is. With a new album slated for a November release, and a packed schedule (including summer residencies at The Gateway, Nardi's and The Terrace Tavern), this groove-rock singer/songwriter and purveyor of chill is primed to make waves." ---- Joe Master, The Islander - April 13,2010
