Big Wheel Magazine is a name many of you already know and love. For 14+ years we have worked hard to bring you the best coverage of the Punk scene at our home in Southern California, and across the world. We have sent you to shows with free tickets, we have captured many moments at the show with photos, and posted videos for the shows you couldn't get to. We have maintained the most comprehensive listing of shows in the LA area so you can always say "I was there" instead of "I wish I'd heard about that". We've given a platform to hundreds of bands to reach a wide audience so their music could get heard, and we've promoted countless hard-working and deserving Punk rockers... and we've done it all for free.

We love what we do, that's why we do it. We don't get paid, far from it, in fact. We believe in this world-wide Punk rock community, and we believe that this is important. But the truth is that we have maintained this site at great personal expense over the years, selling off personal items to pay the bills and keep the site up, working way into the small hours of the night when our regular jobs are done to bring you the content you crave. And right now, after 14 years, we need your help. Financially, we are tapped out. We have rejected advertising dollars from major corporations like Target and others because we do not want to sell our voice, your voice, and become another part of a faceless corporation. We want to preserve your ability to talk about the music that matters to you, not the music you're told you should listen to. At this point, without your help to meet our minimum operating expenses, we will have to say goodbye, leaving an enormous void in both coverage and community. We are seeking the funding to just cover the minimum base fixed expenses for it's yearly operations, of course if we have more funds we can do even more.

One thing you have come to know about Big Wheel is that we don't do stuff in a half ass way, if we are gonna do this, we are do it with quality and a 100% commitment. Doing what we do is not glamorous at all and if you will support us, we will continue to do this sh*t work for the scene. As you know over the 14+ years we have existed, plenty of johnny come lately Punk sites have all come and gone. Many have tried to do what Big Wheel does and as soon as they realized that doing this stuff is not glamorous and would not make them famous, they quit. The PROOF is in the pudding, the volume of the content on Big Wheel speaks for it self.

If every one of you pledged the change in your couch cushions, it would mean that we could keep going. It might mean one less beer, but it also means preserving the real spirit of Punk rock, and surely thousands of pages of free content, and untold hours of labor is worth at least a dollar? To sweeten the pot, if you've got a little extra change, or can skip that morning coffee for just one morning, we've got some great incentive packages put together. So, if you've ever relied on us to find something to do Friday night, if you've ever clicked through our extensive photo galleries, if you've ever enjoyed the great video footage, if you've ever found a great band on the site, or if your band has ever gotten a helping hand from Big Wheel, we hope that now, you can return the favor in a very small way, so we can keep reporting and documenting what is going on in the scene.

We just hope that the scene that the staff has supported for the past 14+ years with their own time and money can now come in and lend a hand.
