Te’Ceion Coley a.k.a Tay-C was born on March 6, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. Tay-C has always had a sense of music and creativity. No guess with his father being the Grammy Nominated, Stellar award winning , world renowned gospel artist, Rev. Daryl Coley who has worked with some of the greatest in the industry, such as Qunicy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Nancy Wilson, Kirk Franklin, Patti Labelle, Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, Felicia Rashad and others. Also known as “The jazz singer” on the hit show “The Simpsons”. Tay-C’s mother is the famous gospel manager and was the discover of such artist as Kirk Franklin, Lawrence Mathews and others. She was the CEO of Integra Production and one of the establisher of Gospo-Centric record company.
At the tender age of 15 lyricist-producers Tay-C received a great honor. His song “He Will Make a Way” was selected for the project “Oh the Lamb” by Rev. Daryl Coley. Tay-C began to produce demos and perform at local clubs which caught the attention of Songwriter, producer Robbie Lewis who was the musical director for Christina Aguilera, Pattie Labelle, Brian McKnight, Fantasia, and many others. Tay-C is no stranger to the film industry. His voice has laid a foundation on movies such as “Meteor Man” staring Robert Townsend, and one of Bet’s feature film “Book of love”.
At the age of 10 Tay-C toured Japan in cities such as Tokyo, Okinawa, Kobe and Osaka. From a bite of the performance bug Tay-C began to fulfill his passion and his inherited destiny, writing songs, rapping and producing. Tay-C has also toured all across the United States: Atlanta, GA; New York City, NY; Dallas, TX just to name a few. Tay-C is considered to be a shinning star, look for him in the near future with his Debut project “Tay Day”. It is assured to quake the nation.
