Target Your Enemy

Target Your Enemy is writing all new material which will be recorded for an EP to be released this summer. Shows will be booked locally as well as out of state and merchandise such as stickers and shirts will also be available in the near future.



In 2006 up until 2007, a band emerged from Southern Kentucky to dominate the Hardcore scene in their region. Target Your Enemy was comprised of 5 young men who wanted to offer their local scene a strictly aggresive form of hardcore that hadnt really been offered before. Many of their musical peers shyed away from playing hardcore the way Target Your Enemy did in pursuit of more artistic and elaborate forms of heavy music. But many of these bands failed to connect to and often mocked the kids they claimed to want to save from bands like Target Your Enemy. One thing is for sure, regardless of the people who talked shit about Target Your Enemy, anytime the band played a show there was a guranteed crowd and guranteed energy few could match and many complained was lacking with other bands.



However in April of 2007 Target Your Enemy suffered a setback when their lead guitarist left the band leaving Josh Byrns to take the helm of the strings. Not much else happened after this although opportunities were available to open for several well known national touring acts on labels like Facedown Records. Another setback befell TYE with Josh suffering a freak accident that broke his arm leaving him unable to perform. Due to this the band basically floundered out of existence.



But in 2008, after a long period of absence, Target Your Enemy was reformed as a 4 piece to start off with longtime friend and supporter Sundance taking the helm of vocals but shortly thereafter it was decided it wouldnt be right without the original. Travis was brought back to split mic duties with Sudance and now with the future facing them with the uknown, Target Your Enemy is deadset on bringing aggressive Hardcore back to their scene and level venues in their area as well as out of state where their followings have also been missing their prescence.



We are Target Your Enemy and this is far from over.
