Tania Sherrill

Location:
Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, US
Type:
Artist / Band / Musician
I am Tania Sherrill, a native of Northeast Mississippi - a town named Iuka. For the past 5 years, I have lived in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. I am currently doing projects like backing and/or additional vocals for other artists. I have found more range in my vocals while working with Jill Galt, coach. Doing Broadway tunes as well as blues, jazz, etc. has been good for me. Things learned can be applied to the music I choose to do. At some point, I would like to be in a band again. While I am up for various projects, my priority will always be "metal." These days that encompasses quite a range. -- Thanks for checking out my page.>

About Haunted By Angels:

For most of 2006 I was lead vocalist of Haunted By Angels based in Elmira, NY. We did shows that include the Girls Rock & Girls Rule benefit at the Hot End and continued with Upstate Metalfest as well as HBA shows independent of Metalfest.

Our last show was a much-anticipated performance at The First Arena in Elmira. Although no break-up was announced, this line-up of the band has not been together since. I left the band August 2007.My page includes "House Of A Thousand Doors" which was recorded in 2006 and features HBA's last permanant line-up [Andy, Art, Dave, DJ and myself.] Enjoy.

Independent works:

In 2006, I recorded at Plymouth Rocks Studios in Plymouth PA. I performed guest vocals on 2 original songs by Entartete Kunst - "Something Missing" and "No Escape" - both featured at the Entartete Kunst link. "Something Missing" is featured here as well. Music is by Kevin Blakey - creator of the Entartete Kunst project.

I laid down backing vocals for Boston-based metal Gods ;) Forevers' Fallen Grace. The guys have released their 2007 - 08 CD "Herald Of Twilight" - it's a good journey from start to finish. The guys have some heavy-handed, deep stories as well as absolutely peaceful, thought-provoking instrumental pieces. Kevin Blakey, keys, brought a nice dimension. The whole band put things together in a great flow. My work includes tracks for "The Damnationist," "Languish" and "Goliath's Pain." Go to the FFG myspace page FFG myspace page - and listen to an assortment of their tracks including some mentioned above.
