The Symptoms gave birth to their sleazy brand of punk and roll during the hot and decadent Chicago summer of 1998. Featured house-bar-band and basement-fiends, we have proved our staying power as the underground of the underground. The Symptoms have played countless shows east of the Mississippi from outdoor festivals to punk basements, rooftops and bars. The Symptoms have been regular as beer at: the Note (Chicago Unofficial HOUSE BAND Winter 2002-03), the U.S. Beer Co. (Chicago HOUSE BAND May - August 2003), the Fireside Bowl (Chicago/RIP), and the legendary Punkmahal (Milwaukee). We regularly share bills with local heroes such as The Mushuganas (RIP), M.O.T.O., The Arrivals, Flatfoot 56, Shot Baker, & even Smoking Popes. We have also opened for national acts like The Queers, Cheap Sex & Yesterday's Kids.



Original members Andy Gorecki (Guitar/Vocals), Ken Pillar (Drums/Vocals) and Brad Fierce (Bass) joined forces with Marco Miller (Keys) and his vicious Keyboards in late 2005. The merger has given this established Midwestern independent outfit arena capabilities, but more importantly, the ability to step outside of the traditional punk rock scene and engage new audiences. The live show is one to behold with its raw energy, intensity and power. Always a crowd favorite, The Symptoms rip through their repertoire with skill and passion. This is not pop-punk. This is rowdy. This is real.

We are currently re-organizing the outfit, writing, recording a proper demo. We will shake your ass
