Tony B -- BIO

Recognized as one of today’s premier vocalists, and with a style that is uniquely his own, Tony B is carrying on the traditions of the legendary entertainers. Blessed with a voice of distinction that captures the excitement of Darin, the power of Bennett, and the swinging sensibility of Sinatra, Tony is a first class singer/songwriter who always presents a high-energy show featuring past classics to modern day gems.

Tony has appeared at the Showboat Casino Hotel, Trump Taj Mahal, Bally’s Grand, The Tropicana, Mohegan Sun, and The Sands, where he recently starred in the successful revue "Ring-A-Ding Christmas". In addition to being an acclaimed singer/entertainer, Tony is also a composer. The title track of his debut CD "Swingin’ Around with Tony B", was featured in the movie "THE CREW" (Touchstone Pictures), as well as on "THE CREW" CD Soundtrack (Milan Records / BMG). Radio Hall of Fame talk show host Joey Reynolds of WOR radio (NY) said, "Tony B is as exciting as Bobby Darin was when he first burst upon the scene."

A native New Yorker, Tony started singing at a very young age after being captivated by Bobby Darins recording of Mack the Knife. His musical idols include Darin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney, & Al Jolson.

Tony is currently featured in two new books by author Richard Grudens titled “The Italian Crooners” and "When Jolson Was King". He has also performed LIVE on the QVC Shopping Network, recorded commercials for ESPN Hollywood, released his third CD, “Singin’ & Swingin”, and recorded "The Little Drummer Boy" for the Universal Pictures/Focus Features release “The Ice Harvest”, directed by Harold Ramis.

Tony’s recording of "I’ve Got The World On A String" was selected by the family of composer Harold Arlen, to represent that song in their catalogue at HaroldArlen.com. The recording is also featured on the Arlen website, and is the 1st track on "Harold Arlen Now", a compilation CD that also features Faith Hill, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, & B.B. King and Eric Clapton.

In November of 2002, DELTA Airlines included his recording of "I’ve Got The World On A String" to be part of their Harold Arlen Songbook In-Flight Radio presentation, along with Arlen recordings by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Harry Connick Jr., and Ella Fitzgerald.

Additional credits include production shows, revues, radio, television, and film soundtracks.

Tony’s voice has been featured in television and radio commercials for EXXON / Mobil, ESPN, REISENS Candy, Temple University Healthcare, and the Maine State Lottery Megabucks. Other performances have included: Touring Florida’s Gold Coast, performing in concert Connie Haines before an audience of 10,000 at the FSU Civic Center in Tallahassee, a New Years Eve show in the Mark G. Etess Arena at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, The Stars & Stripes Revue at The Tropicana Casino, and a concert with his Big Band at The Sands in Atlantic City.

In March of 2001, Tony marked his acting debut for which he received critical acclaim, in the Off-Broadway concert play "ROCKSTAR". At a recent benefit performance for the American Parkinson’s Foundation, Tony and his orchestra were joined on stage for a rousing rendition of "All Of Me" by Danny Aiello, Sal Richards, Ray Serra, Kevin Dobson, Michael Amante, Dominic Chianese of The Sopranos.
