Hello. Thanks for stopping by. Our main home on the internet is www.swimmerone.co.uk, where you'll find more music, short films and our blog, among other stuff. We're also on Last FM and Facebook. We don't do Twitter.

NEW ALBUM

Here are five tracks from our new album, Dead Orchestras, to listen to/embed/share (the MySpace player squishes songs down to a minging 96kbps 22khz quality, which is why they're not up there). The album is available to buy from 31 May 2010. For links to some good online shops, keep scrolling down (or just click 'buy' on the player below)

A BRIEF HISTORY

Swimmer One make their experimental pop music in a studio within a disused church on the Scottish coastline. An album, The Regional Variations, was released in September 2007 on Biphonic Records. Before that there were three singles, We Just Make Music For Ourselves, Come On, Let's Go! on Biphonic Records and Largs Hum backed with a cover of Kate Bush's Cloudbusting (as a free download single on Dogbox records). A second album, Dead Orchestras, will be released in 2010.

Swimmer One was formed in 2002 by Hamish Brown and Andrew Eaton. Laura Cameron Lewis joined the line-up in 2007.

If you like us, try our Biphonic Records label-mates Luxury Car, who we really cannot recommend highly enough.

FILM

Edinburgh artist/film-maker Daniel Warren has made several works that feature Swimmer One music and have been screened and won awards worldwide. You can watch some of these below and lots more on YouTube.

Ghosts in the Hotel (2010)

A collaboration between Daniel Warren and dancers Limor Ziv and Ivica Bago, with music by Swimmer One.

The Balance Company (2008)

A collaboration between Daniel Warren, the theatre company Highway Diner and Swimmer One.

Lake Tahoe (2004)

Another Daniel Warren film, this one featuring time-lapse footage.

We Just Make Music For Ourselves (2003)

The first video we ever made. We're still very fond of it.
