Hey Everybody! Thanks for coming to my page.
THIS IS MY STORY…well I started singing at five years old.
I was born outside of Detroit and mostly raised in Grand Rapids. I grew up in a multi racial family with a mother and father who encouraged individualism. I began singing in community choirs and church choirs. My first real gig was the children’s chorus of the OPERA GRAND RAPIDS…throughout my childhood and high school I did a lot of community theatre, performed around town –did a few commercials and sang some too. Then I went to school at the Boston Conservatory of Music and graduated from the UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS IN PHILADELPHIA with a BFA in Fine Arts.
After graduating from college I was lucky enough to work and perform with some amazing people. I did a lot of musical theatre for a while like LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, SLAM, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, BEEHIVE, TWIST , BOBOS, European and national tours of HAIR and HARLEM RENAISSANCE. I worked with Broadway legends like Andrea McCardle, Greg Burge, and Ron Richardson.
My very first paid session ever was in Philly at the legendary THE SOUND OF PHILADELPHIA. I worked with legends Dexter Wansel and Billy paul. I thought I had “arrived’!! I only made $50!!
Upon moving to Los Angeles I got involved in many different things – recording, more theatre, working in children’s theatre and vocal coaching.
Over the past several years I have traveled the world and worked with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Anastacia, Teena Marie, Taylor Dayne, Jeffrey Osbourne, Howard Hewitt, Jessica Simpson, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kid Rock, Slash, Ghosthounds, Living Things, Reo Speedwagon, Joe Walsh, Perry Farrel in Satellite Party, Nuno Bettencourt, Stevie Salas, and Richie Kotzen. I have worked for the past several years touring with Enrique iglesias – rocking stadiums and having a great time.
Beyond touring with Enrique Iglesias as a featured vocalist – I have released my own record which got great reviews in the indie soul scene. I have gotten international airplay and my first music video SUMMERTIME IN THE CITY is getting some steam now which I am excited about….
